Cleaning and Sealing

Marin Stone Care’s trained professionals take special care to place paper and plastic wherever necessary to protect surfaces from cleaning chemicals. Surfaces are cleaned with a special stone cleaning detergentand rinsed with our hot water extraction equipment. The stone is allowed to dry for usually 24 hours and two coats of a solvent based fluorocarbon impregnating sealer are then applied. Depending on exposure to moisture and chemicals stone should be cleaned and sealed every two to three years.
